What a great experience! the staff is friendly and accommodating, the seamstresses are lovely and the store is just beautiful. Every time I entered the shop I knew I was going to be taken care of. I have convinced friends from all over to shop at The Plumed Serpent and all of them have had the same wonderful experience I had. Cannot say enough good things.

I had already visited several "dress shops" before my appointment at The Plumed Serpent. I'm not sure if I walked in with an already negative idea of what was to come, but I was completely floored by their friendliness and knowledge. My mother and I were wowed by our consultant! She wasn't just showing me dresses - she listened to my needs and presented me with ideas that I hadn't even considered. I found my dream gown and I can't say enough about the staff's professionalism and helpfulness. A class act!

I worked with Lisa the sales associate at the Plumed Surpent. Lisa is very good at her job and I only wish that I could have given her a sale. The prices are a bit high. However the quality of dresses are excellent. I had a great experience all in all. The staff is wonderful and very knowledgable about the industry and trends.

I went there for a mother of the bride trunk show recently and really liked their professionalism and their knowledge. When I started looking around for bridal gowns I found a couple that I would have liked but once I saw the price tag I stepped away. They are wayyyyyy overpriced, I actually found the same gown somewhere else for almost 60% less than what their price tag was at The Plumed Serpent

I purchased my wedding gown at The Plumed Serpent for my wedding in January 08. I couldn't have been more pleased with the entire experience. The staff is extremely professional and so knowledgable. I received many helpful tips that made my werdding perfect!!! I went to a few other bridal shops before finding The Plumed Serpent. Once there I never looked at another store. Their selection of wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, accessories, and shoes is unbelievable. I needed multiple fittings since I kept losing weight and the seamstress couldn't have been nicerI I have recommended them to all my friends. My mother found her dress there and looked lovely - not frumpy!!!

I searched high and low for the "perfect dress". i knew it was out there, and would not stop until i found it. the minute i walked into the Plumed Serpent, i knew i would find my dress there. the owner, alison, met me at the door with such enthusiasm and excitement. she spent a good 20 minutes talking with me about what i wanted, what i envisioned, before she even pulled out some dresses. she gathered together 8 different dresses, all of which i loved. when she zipped up the third dress that i tried on, i knew it was MY dress. Stunning, elegant and perfection all at the same time. the dress was a bit more than i orginally wanted to spend, but it was worth every penny. my experience at the Plumed Serpent, and specifically with Alison, was wonderful, and i send all my friends to her when they are looking for a dress.

After visiting several bridal shops in CT and Boston I went to the Plumed Serpent initially because they were having a trunk sale of a designer that I was interested in. They allowed me to pick out the dresses that I wanted to try on and continued to pull dresses that they felt that would suit my style. The sales team were honest and helpful and never pressured me into buying anything, which is more than I can say for other shops that I had visited. I had a wonderful experience and would strongly suggest that if you are interested in highline designer dresses to make an appointment at the Plumed Serpent before heading out to NYC or Boston.

My overall experience with this store was not very good. I found that the bridal consultants were not helpful or friendly. The dresses were on the higher end price wise and on a busy day did not seem to have enough employees to help the people interested in the store. If you are not from the local area, it is probably not worth your drive to it

Bought my (amazing) gown there this weekend - was worried about the Westport attitude but everyone was so nice and friendly. Great selection of gowns! Highly recommend!!

I could not praise The Plumed Serpent enough. I got married on August 19, 2006 and purchase my Amsale bridal gown along with my veil, Paris tiara and earrings all from this salon and I could not be happier. I never felt pushed to buy anything and the bridal consultants were amazingly helpful!! The gown I purchased was pulled of the rack by Melissa based on her looking at me (body shape) and telling her my gown likes and dislikes. I went ahead and pulled gowns I liked and when it came time to try them on it was Melissa's choice that looked absolutely stunning on me. I went to a few other bridal salons before The Plumed Serpent and they were very pushy and tried to make me buy the gowns but I never felt that way here. Also, I was able to take photos of me in the gown, which was great since my mom was not able to attend. If you are looking for high end desinger gowns and awesome service to boot, then look no futher than The Plumed Serpent! I also had all the bridesmaids purchase their gowns here too. They do give you a "break" with the items you buy if you get your gown there and if you buy from the trunk shows, so it can save you some money. This salon is awesome!!!!!!

Great experience. The staff is very tuned in to your wants and needs. I was never rushed and given great feedback. The selection is amazing and I went to three other salons. They couldn't touch this place.

My experience buying a bridal gown from the Plumed Serpent was excellent. My sales associate, Suzy, was extremely helpful and knowledgable in giving suggestions for trying on dresses she thought would look nice on me. They gave me the opportunity to try on whichever dresses I liked, and I had more than enough time to look around and choose a dress. I ended up purchasing a sample dress that was in perfect condition, and got a slight discount as a bonus to walking out of the store with a perfectly-fitting dress! Dresses appeared to be in a mid to higher range of prices but were made by quality designers with quality materials. Definitely call for an appointment, which is typical for nicer boutiques.

My sister and I visited the Plumed Serpent looking for a bridal gown. I completed enjoyed the experience. We were waited by the owner and she was just great. It was such a nice chance from the experience I had buyig my own wedding gown from a very well known company based in Boston. I would comlplete recommend this shop. Do get an appointment so you have a sales person just for you.

The selection was quite extensive and they have beautiful Jim Hjelm gowns. The staff was not that courteous. Be sure to make an appointment. It was clear that walk-ins were not expected. The gowns seemed about ten percent higher than other stores.

Great Service The Plumed Serpant had great service. We made an appointment, and I showed up with 4 friends. First they had us pick out dresses that we thought we liked, and our attendant gauged our reactions to all of them - then she suggested dresses that she thought we'd like - and she was very good at picking them out! We tried on with lots of different veils and we were allowed to take photos of everything, which a lot of bridal shops don't allow. I would def recommend!
