We held our Wedding Ceremony at the First Church of Christ 1652 in Farmington in April of 2012. The staff and pastor made arrangements for us to see the church as many times as necessary. It is gorgeous on the inside, truly a historic piece of New England and our photographers were able to get some beautiful photographs from the balcony as well as on the grounds. However, I think it was the very warm reception that my then-fiance and I received that made this place the defining place for our ceremony more than any other.

We had our ceremony at First Church. The grounds were beautiful and the staff was very professional. The surrounding buildings and interior of the church made for great photos also.

We were married last weekend at the Congregational Church in Farmington. I can't say enough about how happy we were with the entire experience. Originally we tried to marry at a local Catholic church (the church I grew up in) but had some problems which prevented us from holding our ceremony there. Rev. Clark from First Church was incredibly understanding and welcomed us into his congregation. The entire staff at First Church was very kind, professional and well organized: Mary Ellen (wedding coordinator) did an exceptional job running the rehearsal and ceremony - she was very organized, fixed my dress as I walked down the asile, and calmed me down before too! Rev. Clark gave a short but beautiful sermon and we were very happy to have him marry us. First Church is a gorgeous greek revival-style church in the heart the town center. It has a rich history and beautiful architectural details. The Church itself is so beautiful that we really didn't need many floral arrangements inside - the architectural elements stood out on their own. Thank you again for having us! Amy and Justin
