I went in with low expectations because of my experiences in other shops but was blown away by my experience here. The owner was helpful, accommodating, and friendly. Most importantly, she was honest. None of that insanely irritating "it looks beautiful!" when the dress clearly isn't working for you. In minutes she found a handful of dresses that fit my taste, budget, and body. They do alterations in store and the tailor is very talented. First try, perfect fit and I mean *perfect.* I have an odd body type but this dress fits me like a glove and is flattering. I'm so thankful I found them! I also appreciated their efficiency. I was never rushed, but I didn't have to wait around either. I don't think I ever spent more than 30 minutes in the shop at one time which is great for a busy bride to be! I just purchased my wedding dress here! I'm very small and she was very helpful in showing me what dresses I could order to fit in. I loved all of the dresses I tried on, she listened to what I wanted and only selected ones she knew I would be interested in. She also gave me a deal on the veil I wanted! bridal bells is an amazing place. when i started my dress journey i was overwhelmed with the amount of places there were to find dresses but being plus size many places had hardly any to none in my size i could try on. i would get told i could come in and place a dress to my body to see if i liked it ( there is no way i can place a dress to my body without physically getting into it and trying it on. after having no luck at a bridal consigment and another salon that said they had plus sizes but really it was more 14s 16s 18s and nothing in the larger sizes that i could really see what it would look like. i then found bridal bells and Barbra was amazing i had my heart set on a dress by mori lee and she had a huge selection of them for me to try on i tried on over 15 gowns there were two dresses that i loved one a mori lee one a venus. after sleeping on it i came back retried on both dresses and went with the mori lee dress the seamstress was able to add a second strap to my dress make a jacket that i needed for church my alterations were right on point and the dress fit perfect the day of! all of my bridesmaids got there dresses there and she again had a huge selection of maids dresses to choose from. and my out of state maids were able to send over measurements and place there orders over the phone alterations on the maids dresses were also amazing if you are looking for plus sizes don't look anywhere else you will be disappointed and discouraged go to bridal bells you will find your perfect dream dress there. she also has a huge selection of regular size dresses as well as mother of bride/groom flower girls and bridesmaids she has all the accessories such as jewelry shoes, veils undergarments etc

AMAZING SHOP. I was concerned about the cost of a dress, so I tried to cut corners and go to one of those large chain stores -- you all know the one I'm talking about. I got talked into buying a dress that I later realized I hated. They may have cheap dresses, but it was overwhelming and unhelpful. I could not have had a better experience at Bridal Bells. My mom works in Berlin and heard about this place and heard from a coworker that it was the "best kept secret in Berlin". Barbara is wonderful, she fit my appointment in the same day I called and helped me find dresses that would within my budget. When I was trying on dresses she was helpful without being pushy and very supportive. Her seamstress was there as well, helping with my appointment, and able to offer options for alterations when needed. I had it narrowed down to two choices when I left the shop. Barbara let me and my mother come back and re-try on the dresses. When I finally made my decision, Barbara just let me stand in front of the mirror, enjoying the dress. I love that she let me enjoy my moment, and really feel comfortable with the dress and my decision. It was a wonderful experience and a thousand times better than going to the big chain store. I had the greatest experience for my first wedding dress shopping outing! The dresses were gorgeous and they had a great variety to choose from. The consultant was amazing! Anything I said about a dress was taken into consideration and put into the next dress. There was one appointment at a time so I was given full attention. Along with finding two beautiful wedding dresses to choose from, I will most likely be returning for bridesmaids dresses and a flower girl dress. At 49 years old, I am getting married for the first time in November. As a plus sized bride, I DREADED looking for the perfect dress. From the second I spoke to Barbara at Bridal Bells on the phone, I knew she had my best interests at heart. She spent the time on the phone to ask what I was thinking, and she advised that she already had some thoughts and ideas about what I would need. Being a plus size can be discouraging enough when trying to shop for regular clothes, but when it's your wedding dress it's 10 times worse. Most stores only carry up to a 14, which is really 2-3 times smaller in wedding dress terms, so it is hard to get an idea of how a dress will look by just holding it up. I had been to other stores and the selection, as well as customer service, was nowhere NEAR what I received at Bridal Bells. Barbara was extremely helpful and friendly. The selection and prices were awesome, and that goes for all of the sizes! I would highly recommend checking out Bridal Bells when looking for your wedding dress!

It's a cozy little shop; if I hadn't heard of it I may have driven right past and not even noticed...Luckily I heard of them from a friend. Barbara offers great, friendly service and order dresses from many great names in Bridal. I ordered a Mori Lee dress and couldn't have been happier with it. It was a gorgeous dress that was reasonably priced. My bridesmaids ordered Bill Levkoff dresses which were also beautiful. The seamstress was sweet and clearly, very talented. My bridesmaids and I were very happy with the alterations made. Our dresses fit perfectly. It was a pleasure working with Barbara and have since recommended them to my family and friends.

Bell's Bridal was the first bridal shop I went to when looking for my wedding dress. Being an older bride, Barbara was very helpful in helping me find the sophisticated gown I was looking for. Wanting to see what else was available I didn't make my decision that day. I went to several well known shops, none of which helped me with finding a dress that was age appropriate for me. I kept comparing everything I tried on to that very first dress Barbara had shown me. After two exhausting weeks of trying on gowns (which was fun in the beginning, but not so fun after about the 15th or so dress) I went back Bell's Bridal and purchased that dress along with all my accessories. Too be truthful I didn't pay anything near what I the other shops charged and I felt I got personalized professional service from Barbara and her staff. If it wasn't for Barbara I wouldn't have looked and felt as beautiful as I did on my wedding day.

When I began wedding planning I was very afraid of finding a dress and having it altered. I ended up purchasing my dress at a discount store online, I did not see or try on the dress until it was at my door. The entire experience was very high-end boutique, without the outrageous price tag. My dress was altered quickly and perfectly, they really do work magic. I was on borrowed time and not getting anywhere fast looking for a dress for my sons wedding. Everywhere I went seemed to cater more to the prom scene. I found a dress looked for retailers and Bridal Bells came up I called on a saturday at 3pm couldnt make it that day but Barbara told me to come on Sunday to pick a time and she would be there. I couldnt believe it she opened her store just for me. One on one personal service so professinal so friendly I got my dress and it will be in with time to spare. I was not looking forward to looking for dresses. Actually, dreading the experience is more like it. I went to the large corporate store first, I tried on approximately 25 dresses and didn't like any. When I went to Bridal Bells I felt more at ease, I tried on 6 dresses and the last one was THE ONE. I liked the intimate nature of the store, the service was great. I really felt like I didn't have to worry about anything. I also found the prices reasonable, but beware that alterations are not included in the price of the dress, or at least they weren't for me. Overall I had a wonderful experience and I would definitely refer people to this boutique.

This shop is fantastic! The dresses are so reasonably priced and the people are so easy to work with. They will get any dress for you in ANY color! The tailoring is also absolutely perfect! I got so many compliments on my wedding day about the terrific fit of my wedding dress and many guests also complimented my girls on their dresses! As the Mother of two sons who are getting married within 6 weeks of each other I was searching the internet and visiting a lot of dess and bridal shops for the perfect dress(es). I should have started at Bridal Bells and saved myself a lot of time and disappointment. I stepped 3 feet into Bridal Bells and found the perfect dress for the first wedding! I took a chance and, with the owner's help, ordered a pretty chiffon top for the second wedding, sight unseen from a catalog. The top came in better than I could picture. Both the dress and the top arrived in plenty of time for the weddings and the alterations were done beautifully. My wedding was last week and everything was perfect! I bought my dress at a shop that did not do alterations and so I needed to find a place to bring it to get altered. I was looking for a place that specialized in wedding gowns and I had heard about Bridal Bells and went over. The seamstress did a beautiful job! I was very nervous about leaving the dress, as it was the dress I wanted from the beginning, but I felt comfortable after the fitting, even though it turned out to be more work than originally thought. They told me everything they were going to do and left it up to me. The dress fit perfectly and the work was flawless. The seamstress showed my maid of honor how to bustle the dress. They were also very accomodating on times for fittings and for when I could pick up the dress. They steamed the dress the day before I picked it up. I got many compliments on my dress. It was about $500 less than a similar dress I was interested in at another place. She also gave me $50 off because my mother cried! Barbara at Bridal Bells was very helpful from the beginning. My daughter was able to find a gown she loved on the discontinued rack, which saved quite a bit of money. Due to health issues, by the time of the wedding it needed a lot of altering, which did not cost me nearly what I thought it might. In fact I was afraid that we would have to start with a new gown, but that was not necessary and the finished gown looked beautiful I would like to note that I have heard of wedding parties where the dresses were all ordered too large, resulting in costly alterations. However at Bridal Bells, all of the dresses were very close to the girls' sizes, needing only minor, inexpensive alterations. Barbara also helped us to chose a style of bridesmaid dress which was flattering to all the girls in the wedding, whatever their figure type. They all looked beautiful and loved the dress.

From start to finish Barbara and her mom were great. i had my foot in a cast and she brought out some dresses to the car for me to see. when I returned a few months later her mom helped pick out a dress that was absolutely stunning--and being a larger build I was worried about resembling a sausage but I looked beautiful and my groom was tongue-tied. I cant say enough great things. I worked with Barbara via e-mail mostly and have never been so pleased with a service through e-mail. I work generally 12 hour days behind a computer and am not available to make it in during working hours. I needed help ordering bridesmaid gowns for all my girls. At first each would call in and do it. Well, if you have friends like mine, a month later you realize no one has called. So I finally decided to get all the measurements myself and do it. With 5 girls, all on different schedules and different budgets I had a mess of information, ones who wanted to pay themselves and others who are pregnant....none of which live anywhere near me to do this stuff in person. Barbara kept all the inforamtion organized over several days of my girls calling in with piecemeal information. Finally everything was ordered and there she was to update me with everything I needed. I stumbled upon Bridal Bells Boutique after searching for boutiques on-line. I requested an appointment and was called immediately with a confirmation call from Barbara. After reading all the positive reveiws about Bridal Bells, it was the first bridal shop I went to, in order to begin shopping for my bridal gown. The service was excellent from the minute I walked in the door. Barbara, the store owner, listened to the ideas I had and looked at some of the pictures I brought in of styles I liked. She selected some dresses for me to begin trying on. The fourth dress I tried on ended up being "the one". I could tell when my sister's and mother's eyes started tearing up once I put it on. Although, I was apprehensive that finding the perfect wedding dress could be this easy!! So, I visited a few other shops in CT, big and small, and tried on several other gowns which, in turn, convinced me that the gown at bridal bells was positively the perfect gown for me. I was so thrilled with the quality, service and professional that I received at Bridal Bells that I chose to order the bridesmaid's dresses from there as well. Barbara was wonderful at working with myself and all of my bridesmaids to accomodate our schedules for fittings and keeping me updated on the progress of all of the dresses along with working within our budget so, all of the dresses and accessories were affordable but, still absolutely stunning! I was also happy with the alterations, Barbara's mother, Henryka, does the alterations and she is a top notch seamstress. Myself and a couple girls in my wedding party had some changes in sizes from the day the order was placed to the day of our final fittings and Barbara and Henryka didn't even blink an eye before they assured me the dresses would fit perfectly and there was no need to stress. They were absolutely RIGHT!! All of the dresses fit perfectly and looked fantastic from 8am to 12 midnight!! I've been in several weddings as a bridesmaid and had to order dresses from other shops and Bridal Bells Boutique was by the far, the best shop I've dealt with. They truly are gifted at helping to make your wedding planning stress free and turning you into the gorgeous bride you dreamed of!

Barbara at Bridal Bells is great. She gave honest opinions of what she thoiught would work for me and she was right. The selection was good for a small shop. If she thought it didn't look good, she'd let me know. I didn't bring a camera because I wasn't sure i could use it but she said pictures were no problem and she very nicely took pictures of my 2 favorites and e-mailed them to me later. I highly recommend looking at this shop. Barbara made my first experience looking at dresses very enjoyable.

Barbara was amazing. She did not pressure me and took the time to tell me what she thought about each dress. She has an unlimited supply of full price and half price dresses, not to mention she was the only bridal shop that had the exact dress I wanted out of a magazine after about 20 calls to area shops! THIS WAS THE FIRST BRIDAL SHOP WE WENT TO. AFTER TRYING ON ABOUT SIX GOWNS MY DAUGHTER TRIED ON "THE ONE". SHE HAD SEEN THIS DRESS IN ONE OF HER MAGAZINES AND WAS THRILLED THAT SHE WAS ABLE TO FIND IT . BEING ON THE DISCONTINUED RACK WE WERE ABLE TO GET IT FOR AN EXCELLANT PRICE. THE OWNER WAS SO HELPFUL WITH EVERYTHING. SHE GAVE MY DAUGHTER SOME GREAT ADVICE ON HOW TO WEAR HER HAIR AND WHAT KIND OF JEWLERY TO WEAR. THIS TURNED OUT TO BE THE EXPERIANCE I HAD ALWAYS DREAMED ABOUT WHEN I HAD MY DAUGHTER 24 YEARS AGO. I found Bridal Bells after doing a lengthy web search. It was the best decision I made during my 15 month engagement. The alterations on my dress and the bridesmaid dresses were perfect . Barbara and her mother were always friendly and eager to please everyone. With all the stresses of planning a "perfect" wedding, it is nice to know there is a bridal shop out there that makes the bride their 1st priority. I decided I would buy a wedding gown off of Ebay. I bought what was supposed to be a Bonny (popular style) Bridal gown. The buy it now price was $200.00. I could order the size I wanted and the color I wanted and shipping would take 4-6 weeks. So.....I bought it thinking I would save a lot of money. I ordered the White w/Navy, siz 14. Here is what happened. The style of the dress was the same. It was handmade, and very poorly, I might add. It was made of very, very cheap bridal satin (you know the kind that is shiny and very wrinkly). It was two sizes too small. There were no tags on the inside. The beading had a lot to be desired and the navy looked more like black. And it took 10 weeks to get the gown from China. BUYER BEWARE! Those are only pictures you see on the net. Thank God I had time to order another dress here at Bridal Bells. Barbara was very sympathetic and helpful. Now I rest peacefully till my wedding in October. Thank you Bridal Bells

Bridal Bells was the first bridal shop I tried when searching for my wedding gown...and boy am I glad! After visiting several other local shops where I did not matter to the salespeople and my business did not seem very important, I was extremely happy that I had already found the perfect dress at Bridal Bells. Other stores crammed me into small dressing rooms with no space for my family and friends to help me, the salespeople were rude and unavailable to consult with, and the overall feeling in those other shops was just plain bad. At bells bridal, the service was excellent, the dressign room was large and very accomodating, and the ambience was perfect. I knew that I had found "my dress" as soon as I put it on, and the store actually provided a priceless atmosphere for what I consider to be a priceless moment. The dresses are beautiful, the owner was a pleasure to deal with, the prices are reasonable, and the environment was wonderful. Thanks so much for making my shopping experience a good one!!!!

They are very fashion savvy and helped me find a style to flatter my figure. The alterations needed were minimal because they ordered the right size; the gown did need to have two layers of material hemmed, which was done perfectly. I looked gorgeous on my wedding day!

If you are looking for the BEST bridal salon, you must go to Bridal Bells Boutique. I saw them at a bridal fair in the fall of 2005 and decided to visit their business. First thing I noticed right away was that the store was very neat and very clean. Also, their selection was outstanding! I had been to other bridal salons where there were more dresses, but they all looked the same. At Bridal Bells Boutique, they have an outstanding variety and SIZES of dresses to choose from. The mother-daughter team of Henricka and Barbara were simply amazing. They weren't pushy and gave their honest opinions as to what looked good and what did not. Their customer service is A+ !!! Henricka's skill is simply amazing - her attention to the smallest detail is phenomenal. When the final alterations were complete and I put the dress on for my last fitting, I was blown away! A MUST GO-TO PLACE Although I didn't purchase my wedding gown from here, I was so impressed with this shop's service and my overall experience trying on wedding gowns that my mother and I went back to look for bridesmaids dresses. My mother actually ended up finding her dress here (I LOVE IT SO MUCH!) and I found the dress for my 6 bridesmaids. Barbara has been nothing but the best accommodating my bridesmaid's busy schedules and she always greets you with such warmth-not to mention how helpful and knowledgable she is. The dresses are more than reasonably priced as well as the alterations. I would recommend this shop to anybody and would encourage everyone to at least stop by and check it out.

I purchased my gown from Bridal Bells. I must say that from the several different stores I have gone to, this one has exceeded my expectations. I found my bridesmaid dresses at Bridal Bells and they were perfect. The alterations were great and the dresses was beautiful. i recently purchased my wedding gown and brides maid gown from Barbara. I didn't like how the sleeves on my dressed looked on me, so they changed them. Barbara,s mother took off the sleves and made a soft flowing sleeve that looked a 100% better. She even put some of the beading on to them. My dress now looks very soft and flowing. I just started shopping for a wedding gown and Bridal Bells is the first place I went to. Barbara was super helpful, as I had no clue what I was looking for. My cousin and I were surprised that she quickly picked up on "my style" and pulled out at least 20 dresses that I wanted to try on! I first made the mistake of going to David's Bridal. They didn't even want to help me unless I had an appointment. Bridal Bells on the other hand welcomed me with open arms and treated me like a lifelong and valued customer. The store is owned by a mother and daughter and their committment to their customers is second to none. Their selection may not be as large as a chain store but what they do have is elegant and high quality. I found a gown I loved immediately! When I came into this shop for the first time to try on dresses, I spotted a dress in one of the catalogs that they had. Since the dress wasn't available in the store, the owner offered to order it for me in my size for a deposit of $100. She said that when the dress came in, I could try it on, and if I didn't like it, she'd just keep it for the store and give me my $100 back! I thought that was a great deal...and I ended up loving the dress! I thought this place was accommodating and helpful.

My gown fit me perfectly in every area and my bridesmaid dress looked like it was made just for her! Bridal Bells is very detailed service, if they feel that something is not quite right they point it out and fix it right away. They are very flexible with the hours they are open for business so it is easy to get there with a hectic scheduale. Excellent overall!

As a very controlling mother of the Bride I was happy to relinquish dress alterations to the very personable and professional staff at Bridal Bells. My daughter's gown was purchased at another location and was the perfect size at the time, six-months before the wedding. We knew the gown needed a finished hem and pressing but when she began losing weight the dress required additional alterations. This very friendly mother-daughter team made the alterations, suggested a bustle and worked within our very limited time-frame. We were always greeted warmly. As a full-service bridal shop, we were offered tiaras, and jewelry sets to accessorize our gown. We were never pushed into a sale and I was most surprised when the staff agreed their selection in jewelry was just too fancy for our very simple gown. All our questions and concerns were addressed. Our day went very well and the bride was radiant in a perfectly fitted gown.

I found Bridal Bells at a wedding show at The Colony in Vernon, CT. Immediately I like the demeanor of the owner and thought I would check them out more on-line. After browsing their website, I found a dress that I just loved. My bridesmaids and I went to the store to find the dress, but they did not have the exact one I wanted. They did however have similar dresses and let me try on as many as I wanted. After some thought, I decided to order the dress from an on-line picture only! My Mom suffers left sided paralysis due to a stroke this past summer. My brother will be getting married next month and Mom was in need of a mother of the groome outfit for the wedding. I attended a Bridal show last fall where Bridal Bells Boutique hosted a bridal show with gowns and bridesmaids dresses. I had already booked an appointment at a more "popular" bridal chain but decided to check this boutique out anyway. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They had a great selection for a smaller shoppe. They listened to what I said I wanted, offered suggestions and helped me select the gown of my dreams! The price included alterations right on the tag, so you know exactly how much you are paying up front... a great help when you hear horror stories about all those hidden alteration costs. They had late hours during the week so I could get there after work for my fittings and were very patient while my 5 bridesmaids tried on different dresses. I purchased a Bridesmaid dress for my mothers wedding. The wedding was in early April and the wedding party wanted to add sleeves to the dress (the dress came with straps). These very nice ladies added the sleeves to all of our dresses. All dresses came out very beautiful and it looked like the dress came with sleeves. We were very happy! Thank you so much!
