Whether it’s a gorgeous, traditional church ceremony or a reception filled with towering centerpieces, we’ll probably dig it. That’s probably why we loved Colleen and Mark’s gorgeous wedding day so much. From Colleen’s stunning gown to the brilliantly lit reception, it was a wedding dream come true, and we’re so glad Dreamlove Photography was there to capture it all.
The big day started the way most do, with Colleen and Mark getting ready to say I do. With suites overlooking the gorgeous city of New Haven and perfect blue skies, there was little doubt that this day would be one to remember. Colleen looked beautiful as she stepped into her gorgeous strapless fit-and-flare gown with a stunning lace overlay from Mariella Creations, Inc. With her hair pulled back and her natural features emphasized gorgeously, Colleen perfectly accented her gown with accessories from Dunbar Jewelers and Long’s Jewelers. Her stunning Nina shoes were the perfect cherry on top of this stylish bride. We can’t forget to mention Colleen’s stunning bridesmaids, though. Their gorgeous Alfred Sung dresses from the Dressy Group give a perfect slate blue accent to her own frock.
Meanwhile, Mark and his groomsmen took the morning to celebrate in dapper style. With black suits for the groomsmen and a gray suit for Mark, the look was perfectly classic. And who doesn’t want to raise a celebratory glass for the occasion?
Come ceremony time, the pair had made their way to the church. With beautiful, stained glass windows and a sweeping domed roof, the pair’s church vows were a stunning moment in their big day. Following the ceremony, though, the pair took time for themselves and took full advantage of the gorgeous New Haven Lawn Club. From the ivy covered walls to the beautiful reception space, it’s a more than perfect venue.
The reception, though, is where the New Haven Lawn Club really shined thanks to the help of Stems Floral Design, New Haven Lawn Club catering, and A Little Something Bakery. The beautiful reception was gorgeously uplit in pink and purple, adding pops of color to a classically elegant affair. Classic white table linens were amped up with beautiful white and pink chrysanthemums, pink roses, hydrangeas, baby’s breath and purple iris dotted with lamb’s ear with green amaranth dripping from towering centerpieces thanks to Stems Floral Design. The beautiful wedding cake kept the pink and purple palette going with beautiful fuchsia mums and lavender roses. With DMO Films there to capture every moment, DJ International helped everyone celebrate the night away.
Colleen and Mark’s beautiful Connecticut wedding at the New Haven Lawn Club was the classic and elegant affair that we love. With pops of purple and pink, it added a bit of drama to the otherwise sophisticated affair. We’re so happy to be able to bring you this stunning wedding and wish the best to the happy couple.
