Zach and Liz’s Rustic, Coastal Connecticut Wedding

[shareaholic app=”share_buttons” id=”4830626″] As the cold winter approaches, there is nothing better than the perfect fall wedding to look back on. This one, captured by Tony Spinelli Photography was a wedding that brought the outdoors, indoors. Inspired by National Parks and diverse landscape, The Pavilion at Rocky Neck State Park in Niantic, Connecticut set the perfect backdrop.

The day started off sunny and calm, while the bridal party began to get ready at the Steamboat Inn in Mystic, Connecticut. With help from B Lovely Beauty Studio, the ladies looked stunning, in their dolled-up hair and matching plaid shirts. But the bridal party was in for a surprise. A storm began to roll in, bringing winds and ominous clouds, keeping everyone on their toes questioning if they would be able to pull off both the ceremony and outdoor cocktail hour. Luckily they managed both, the rain held off!

Beautiful bouquets of wildflowers, gorgeously arranged by Blue Butterfly Florist, decorated the isle. Vintage themed, bold colors of orange and purple painted each flower, creating a scenery no one’s eyes could miss. The ceremony was sheer joy, easily seen between the couple and their wedding party. Liz walked towards Zach in an elegant, strapless wedding gown from Vows Bridal Outlet, looking more beautiful than ever.

Inside this spectacular venue was exposed oak pillars and stone walls, which made guests feel cozy and unpretentious despite its grand size. To top it all off the building faces the Long Island Sound, providing incredible views of the ocean. Within minutes of the guests being seated at their tables, ready to dine on the delicious food prepared by Coastal Gourmet Group, the rain and wind came rolling off the sound.

With birch branches that held vintage post cards, and pine cones for individual name card, this wedding brought the outdoors inside through décor, from Stela Parties and Events, with every chance they got.

The cold breeze from the rain became a blessing when guests started heating up on the dance floor, listening to Spin Enterprise play the latest tunes. The magical night ended with a newly married husband and wife dancing in the rain with the biggest smiles pasted on their faces.
