Disappointed Mother of Bride
Watch out!! Planned wedding here, Covid happened, rescheduled wedding here, covid restrictions didn't lighten up. They refunded some but why they kept so much money when it obviously was out of our control is appalling. Watch out!!! Customer service is lacking for a disappointing circumstance out of our control.

Tracy & Tim's wedding: 1/21/17 Everything was beautiful, the staff was great and the food was delicious! I really want to commend Colin for putting up with all our questions and requests for weeks on end, and also to Christina and Jenny who were our amazingly wonderful attendants. They were so helpful and made our pre-wedding time stress-free. Thank you all for making my daughter's wedding the wonderful affair it was.

Hi Kathleen! Thank you, thank you, thank you for all you did for us. I'm still on cloud nine!!! Saturday was absolutely a PERFECT day from the minute we arrived to the moment we drove off in our cars! I have been receiving feedback from family and friends commenting on what a great time they had at the wedding; how fabulous ALL the food was; how friendly and attentive the staff was AND of course how beautiful The Waterview is!!!!!! We are all raving!!!!! Can't stop reliving the day. The wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, food, service, everything surpassed our expectations by miles!!!!! I want to take this opportunity to especially thank Angela for her genuine kindness towards my daughter and her new husband during the (already forgotten) rehearsal night :o) Appreciated her visit to the bridal suite prior to the ceremony. Also, a very special thank you to Jason & Rachel our bridal suite attendants for their warm welcoming smiles and for being available for all our needs. Jason is top notch; happy, friendly, very personable. You don't want to lose him!!!!! THANK YOU JASON FOR YOUR INCREDIBLE SERVICE BOTH IN THE SUITE AND AT THE PARENTS' TABLES. YOU TRULY MADE US FEEL SPECIAL! YOU ARE FANTASTIC AT WHAT YOU DO. To the Chef...WOW, AMAZING CUISINE and GORGEOUS, DELICIOUS CAKE. Every morsel was outstanding! FIVE STAR I can go on and on.....just can't say enough about the The Waterview and the great experience we had! Thank you so much for everything! Waterview

There are great reasons why Waterview has become known as the hottest spot for gay weddings. You won't be disappointed! Our buddies were married here last year and it was beyond fabulous. The service is as pretty as the views and the handsome men in suits.

I just had to let you know how much fun everyone had at the wedding on Saturday. Jon was the perfect Event Manager and was very attentive to detail during the entire reception. Jon has a perfect personality for people and never-ending energy along with his beautiful smile, and we were thrilled when Sarah told us that she was very happy with his willingness to honor her requests at the reception. When we met Jon on Thursday to finalize the details, we knew exactly what Sarah meant. Jon has an amazing gift and put us at ease. Immediately we knew that our children's wedding was in great hands. Our guests and family are still talking about what a great time they all had - how delicious the food was and how beautiful the Waterview is and all together it makes for a great wedding. Big Daddy loves to DJ at the Waterview as well - everyone was dancing. Jason was great as our head wait staff and when there was a request, Jason was on it with a happy heart. Thank you Jason!!! The cocktail hour was filled with hungry people and we all enjoyed the beautiful display and delicious food. The reception was a "WOW" to walk in to - just beautifully done and well staffed. We know that everyone worked very hard to make our day successful and it absolutely was - so please extend our thanks to everyone who made this possible. We appreciate everyone's efforts which is a great reflection on you, Maureen and the Waterview. I would like to mention that Table 7 was located under a vent and they were freezing - but they moved their table over a bit and it worked out for them. They didn't tell me about it and I know that there is not much that you can do except to move the table over. I just wanted to make you aware of this for future events. Thank you again Maureen, Jon, Jason and everyone who made this a wonderful memory. Very sincerely - Vicky & Bob

What a wonderful day yesterday day was! A co-worker of my husband had her reception at Waterview. Once again it was a great night. The food was outstanding and the service top notch. I's been a coule of years since we have been back their and everything was the same. It's good to know somethings don't change but get better with time. We are expecting our first child later in the Fall and are talking about doing a christening their .

I recently got married at the Waterview and the service was excellent!!!! All the guest loved the food and thought the place was gorgeous. Keith was an awesome event coordinator. They made sure the bride and the entire bridal party were taken care in the bridal suite before the wedding. I cant say enough good things about the Waterview. I totally recommend this place to any bride. Waterview

The Waterview was absolutely perfect! The staff was incredible from the day we booked the place to the day after the event. They were so accommodating and super friendly. The ceremony was beautiful and with their help it went smoothly. They waited on us hand and foot. We didn't have to worry about a thing. They even packed up our gifts as well as items such as toasting glasses etc. and loaded a family member's car. A guest did end up forgetting one item and they had it for us in the office the next day. Couldn't have asked for more.

Our son and his wife's reception was recently held at the Waterview. I had never been inside, and when I did step in I was positively impressed with the decor and the atmosphere. Soaring ceilings, comfortable furnishings, tasteful lighting and a general "high end" feeling made me understand why they so liked the place when they visited it. This was a mid-January wedding, so we didn't get to enjoy the outside surroundings as one might in summer, but you could see the lake and the terraces that no doubt are beautiful compliments to the interior when the weather is warmer. Everything was first rate:the bar, hors d'oevres, the martini bar, entrees, ice cream sundae bar --- just high kudos all around. Staff were professional and never intrusive; could not have been more courteous or helpful.

My son and new daughter-in-law had their wedding ceremony and reception at The Waterview in Monroe, CT on Saturday, June 20, 2009. To begin with, The Waterview is by far one of the most beautiful and picturesque spots both inside and out to have a wedding. Ours was an evening wedding and although the ceremony was scheduled to be outdoors, it had to be moved inside because of the weather. The Waterview handled the change smoothly and without any problems. The whole affair was flawless from start to finish. The staff from the corporate office, to the event coordinator (Vinnie) down to the wait staff was superb, helpful and very easy to work with. The cocktail hour was extremely impressive to our guests (142). They could not rave enough about the abundance and assortment of the hors d’oeuvres that were served. The pasta station was a big hit as well as the great variety on the international station. The bar staff kept the line moving so no one had to wait to get the beverage of their choice. The meal was served quickly and professionally. No table was waiting for a long period of time until they were served. The food was HOT, not warm and prepared as ordered. The staff kept everything running so efficiently that we had plenty of time to party and socialize with one another. The cake (that was included with the package) was delicious. Don’t waste your money ordering a cake from a bakery. This was one of the best tasting cakes I have had. Just as an aside, we used a DJ and photographer that was on the Waterview’s recommended list and was extremely satisfied. All in all, it was a perfect night and perfect wedding for a couple that made a perfect pair.

PROS: We got married off season and on a Friday so we got a super price for Waterview. The building, grounds, and food were excellent. The staff were very good BEFORE the wedding, when helping us plan the day. ON the wedding day?...well... read below. Heads up- it helps to be proactive with communication between your appointment and your wedding day. CONS: Our first choice for wedding photographer simply refused to do our wedding reception if we went with Waterview. Apparently he had a bad experience with Waterview's staff, so bad that he swore off ever working there again. We went with a different photographer. . Biggest complaint that I have is the lack of service to the wedding party as we waited to be introduced. We were in the bridal suite for a good 40 minutes before being introduced into the reception. During those 40 minutes I (groom) really wanted a soft drink. The staff was strangely absent, and the person I finally found told me that it was too close to the time we had to go upstairs so she could not help me. 20 minutes later I asked again and was again refused. The food was left there for us in those Buffet bins, and there was water to drink, but we had very poor service in the bridal suite, We are not big alcohol drinkers but if we were, we would be very disappointed. This immediately made me fear that our guests were getting similar service upstairs. Therefore I interrogated my guests during, and in the days after our wedding about the quality of service they received as guests at Waterview, They all assured me that it was top notch. So I was quite relieved. Overall we would say that we are very pleased with Waterview and would recommend them for weddings. Just communicate well with them, and don't expect good service for your wedding party.

I can't say enough about this place. I have attended a few wedding receptions here and it is top notch. The view is absolutely beautiful being right on the lake. Pictures can be taken in the beautiful gardens on the property. There is loads of parking too. The food was excellent from the hor'derves to the main course. Very spacious and accommodating are two words that come to mind.

It truly was my dream wedding. I got married on a Sunday - September 14th. It turned out to be almost 90 degrees that day but everything was amazing. I was able to have my ceremony outside despite the heat and humidity and no one really seemed to mind with the way everything turned out. I have received so many compliments on my wedding ceremony and reception there. Everyone keeps talking about it. The scenery is gorgeous, the food is delicious (even for vegetarians and vegans - I'm a veggie), the back drop for pictures inside is beautiful, the staff is very attentive, and the staff even followed the list I gave them... I'm a bit OCD when it comes to event planning as that is what I did for a living, so when I gave them a list of everything I wanted done... it was done, and done perfectly... every little detail. I really don't think I could have asked for anything more. Superb job. And a special thanks to Mandy Markham, my wedding coordinator.
The Gibsons
We thought the Waterview was a great place to have our wedding! The scenery was amazing and the food was delicious! We got compliment after compliment on our special day... Although the coordinator was sometimes hard to get a hold of, the day went perfectly! The view overlooking Lake Zoar couldn't have been more romantic and the reception room was set up exactly the way we wanted it. We would do it all over again if we had the chance. : )

I attended a wedding at The Waterview with my fiance on Sunday, August 24, 2008. We had a great time! The food was unbelievable. We were stuffed by the end of the cocktail hour, but forced ourselves to eat the Filet Mignon which was so tender you could cut it with your fork. The waiters and waitresses were really very attentive to us and to all the tables around us for the entire time that we were there. Our "head" waitress was very helpful whenever we needed anything, she was right there to make sure it was taken care of. Our water glasses were continually refilled, and coffee was served to us piping hot right after dinner was cleared. The view from the dancefloor is so beautiful. We found ourselves dancing a lot more than normal just to get a peek at the Lake. We had visited The Waterview to discuss booking our own wedding there and before we had to make a decision, we were invited there by one of my fiance's coworkers. Talk about luck. We got a preview of how our wedding reception would be and boy was it great. Needless to say, we called the Sales Office Monday morning to make an appointment this weekend to discuss having our New Year's Eve Wedding there!

My fiance and I recently attended my cousins wedding at the Waterview in Monroe, CT. Everything from beginning to end was fabulous, The cocktail hour was plentiful and the food was outstanding. The service was five stars, every time I left the table upon my return my napkin was folded and the table was cleared in a timely manner. The view of Lake Zoar is spectacular as is the room with all of the magnificient windows. I had the Filet Mignon which melted in my mouth and the cake was perfection. I can only hope that the Waterview will be available for my wedding.

Yesterday my dear friend was married at the Waterview. I was somewhat nervous because I had recommended the Waterview to her, since I was married there in 2005 and didn't know if they still put on the perfect wedding. WELL, let me tell you! Perfect was not the word to use..how about FLAWLESS!! All Kerrie said to me all night was thank you for recommending the Waterview. Yes, she was a little worried when her coordinator was changed but she had nothing but raves for Mandy and Keith who completed the job. The food was terriffic, everything was hot and yummy. What a beautiful salad. It looked just like those you see pictured in a fancy magazine. Our dinners were also fabulous. My husband said it was the best and biggest ribeye he has ever eaten. The gals at the bar were awesome, and room looked simple but elegant. Everything they wanted. Sure Len's uncle wanted only CC in his drink but when that was not on the bar, several top shelf scotches were offered to him as a replacement. But let me tell you about the Waterviews hidden treasure....Hildie...I met her back in 2005 as my bridal attendant. Well all night long whether it was Kerrie, her Mom, or one of the girls in the bridal party ,everyone talked about Hildie. She now has something to do with wedding rehearsals and ceremonies held at the Waterview. Kerries not only raved that everything from the rehearsal to the ceremony was perfect, but every time she turned around Hildie was there to take care of something. She greeted guests as they came for the ceremony, pointing out there was champange and goodies to eat, and when Kerrie's Grandparents wanted something without alcohol she personaly went and got them something else to drink, sewed one of the girl's dresses, made sure the guys were dressed and ready on time, and help buslte the entire wedding party using a pair of needle nose pliers so that their bustles would stay up all night long. Even when the florist sent a cousage and not a wristlet for Len's Mom, she tried to turn it into a wristlet looking for ribbons to match her gown and sewing them to the flower to form a wristlet. Who does that!!! Her services didn't even cost them extra, she comes with the place. What a bonus! So let me conclude with this. The Waterview has changed in the last two years..it's gotten even better. So if your planning a wedding go see Kellie and book it .I can't wait to go back for my next wedding.. as a guest of course.

I recently attended two of my friends weddings at the Waterview, and both were great! The rooms were beautiful, the food was excellent (I could have made a meal on the appetizers alone!) the dance floor was huge, and the staff was very helpful. I know both my friends enjoyed their day so much, as did their families and guests, especially me! Would love to go back again.

We got married on August 3 and were lucky enough to have our reception at the Waterview. We have nothing but good things to say about the food, service, staff and beauty of the location. Linda was our coordinator and was a huge part in making our day so perfect. She worked very hard to make sure they day was everything we had imagined. We have heard from many of our guests that the staff was there whenever needed, the place was beautiful and the food was great! I would highly recommend the Waterview to anyone!

Fabulous setting, eclectic variety of hor d'oerves, a delicious dinner and yummy cake. Staff was present but unobtrusive. A relative told me it was her first Platinum wedding!

Our daughter just had her reception here. Some comments form our guests: We were pampered; what a setting; this bar has the best cosmos; the food was delicious; food so elegantly displayed; it was perfection, start to finish, etc etc etc The bridal suite was a real plus--hot appetizers and immediate drink orders for the wedding party of 12! The staff must have approached us at least 10 times during the evening to ask if we were happy with everything. We certainly had no complaints. The service was attentive and very professional--food was hot and on time. We had concerns that we'd hear another wedding next door--it didn't happen. Everything was seamless. Kelly, Linda, and Christine Thank you!!! MK

Our daughter was married on Saturday evening September 1, 2007. The place looked beautiful as was the day. Everything went off perfectly. Our guests couldn't say enough good things about the Waterview---the food, the service, the beautiful landscaping around the ceremony area. Tina--you are the best!! and Hildie--you were such fun. We thoroughly enjoyed you. We were treated as if our function was the most important event in the world. We highly recommend the Waterview, not only for its food and service, but also for its location on Lake Zoar. Thank you for the perfect wedding!!!

We've received rave reviews from so many guests our heads are spinning. Our daughter's wedding reception was held last weekend and it was beautiful. Every detail was perfect from start to finish. The lovely facility of course just sparkles and shines. I am a nurse and happen to be a little over the top when it comes to cleanliness. Every sales person was a pleasure to deal with, warm, friendly and professional. You were made to feel immediately as if your event was a priority. We first met Geraldine, who was sincerely charming. Then secured the date with Kelli who made it so easy for us to express our ideas and concerns and had a great sense of humor. We worked with Linda as our coordinator. She was so helpful, esp. with keeping within our budget, we just felt as if she couldn't do enough for us...and that was nice. The cocktail hour was superb, and all dinner courses not only delicious but served pleasing to the eye. Service was impeccable, and the pleasant wait staff plentiful, the bridal party were so impressed with the bridal attendants. No guest wanted for anything. We made our final visit to The Waterview, three days before the wedding. My husband and I left there feeling so confident that this was going to come off perfectly and it did.
Maureen
We were married at the Waterview in November and cannot say enough wonderful things about the place!!! Tina was my planner and she along with the rest of the staff made my dream wedding come true. The food for lack of the appropriate words was out of this world, my guests are still talking about it. The staff was great, there was not a moment that went by that they were not taking care of my family and friends every need. For all the time and work put into this big day for my now husband and I we would not have changed a single thing!!! Without having to explain to the staff at the Waterview how important those 5 hours were they seamlessly created a night that will truely be remembered for a long time as the best wedding that my friends and family have ever seen. I will not be able to thank them enough for truely allowing me to relax and enjoy the most important night of my life.
John (Hebron)
Our son was just married to the love of his life. The Waterview and its staff was Top Shelf in every respect. From the rehersal to the final goodbye everything was done professionally and with a warm personal touch. Tina and Hildy were great; they had a fine attention to detail and made the whole celbration run smoothly. The food was superb and we got great comments from our guests on the quality of the entrees. What was particularly nice was that every employee had a smile. All in all it was a perfect place for a perfect day.

The facility is gorgeous from the minute you step onto the grounds, the rooms are beautiful and the staff prior to signing the contract and giving them your deposit are exceptional but from that moment on I felt just another bride being shuffled in. We booked the Waterview one year prior to our wedding date which was Oct 27 2006. Up until a week before our wedding we heard nothing from them and had to make contact with them ourselves in regards to our head count and menu selections. The "WEDDING COORDINATOR" you are promised when booking this facility, beware because they dont have any trained staff to perform this service or atleast didnt not accomodate us with one. The name of our coordinator changed several times from the time we booked our wedding until the actual day, at one point our wedding coordinator was the food manager Keith, who has no clue how to coordinate weddings. We met our so called "wedding coordinator" the day before and she knew NOTHING about any special requests I had made to the waterview prior to my wedding. The day of was nothing but a headache. My "wedding coordinator" followed my husband and I around asking us questions about details that we had already discussed with one of our other coordinators. All of the EXTRAS we paid for seafood table, martini bar, dessert table all a waste of money wasnt impressed, dont bother. We even went as far as trying to contact the facility after our event and they did not resond to us until 5 mths later and basically said "Sorry but too bad" . The staff at the Waterview made me a lot of promises that they did not deliver. I will now and forever remember my wedding day as being nothing but a headache because of them and my so called "wedding coordinator" Linda... Waterview

My husband made a great choice,we booked The Waterview while it was still under construction so we got a great deal. It was beautiful, the food was great and I couldn't ask for better treatment for myself and my guest. I would recommen this Reception Hall to any bride who wants to have an elegant, classy wedding reception. We had our ceremony right downstairs and our guest loved the fact that they could go directly into their coctail hour. right after the ceremony. They really treated us good. No Complaints, There were many other things I would have changed, but The Waterview and our D.J. : Dance to the Music Entertainment, not one of them.:)

I had my wedding at The Waterview on July 14, 2006 and I cannot say enough good things about our experience! The building & the grounds were absolutely beautiful. There was another wedding at the same time but we never saw/heard any of the people. I've read some negative reviews about the service, but I have to say that the service we received was wonderful! They waited hand and foot on my family from the second we walked in the doors. My dad and my husband both commented that they don't even know how much they drank because every time their drinks got low, a person appeared out of nowhere and replaced it without even interrupting them. We were short of our minimum number of people by about 15 due to a last minute family emergency and The Waterview handled it wonderfully - they provided a LOT of extras (beautiful shrimp display and a fresh pasta bar with chef @ the cocktail hour and extra desserts at the tables after dinner) rather than penalizing us by upping the price or something like many venues do. They also ordered all of the specialty alcohol requested by my family (Hpnotiq, 1800, specialty beers, etc.) without batting an eyelash or changing the price. The staff went to great lengths to make sure that everything ran smoothly - in fact, I never even knew about the little hitches that are inevitable until months later when catching up with friends. They accomodated all of my little whims about the set-up and everything was exactly how I dreamed it would be. I'm a very picky girl who planned this wedding for almost two years and obsessed over every tiny detail and The Waterview did not let me down at all. I've heard SO many good things from my guests about the service and the food since then. I just can't say enough good things about The Waterview - they made my wedding day absolutely perfect. I would reccomend them to anyone for a beautifully put together wedding!
- Great Place--Poor Service/
I got married at the waterview in September, and from the minute I booked with them the previous June, I heard an array of comments from people who have been to events there both positive and negative...Here are my brief comments on the waterview. The place...the grounds, the building, the room...beautiful. It make a great impression on guests....everything is clean, and on the surface a beautiful, well layed out facility. The food is good. The staff--the worst part of the place. I felt thorugh the whole process that they told you yes, to appease you and then when the day came, everything changed. For instance, I asked(a was told) several times that we could use the entire grounds for pictures...wedding day comes...sorry you can't...We were told that we would have staff following us around all night to "help"....this staff was in place the first 45 minutes...then disappeared. I had the coordinator bringing problems to my attention during my reception, when they were the ones that should be handling it...(i could go on.....) Overall, the wateriew is beautiful and I had a graet wedding...for someone who considers herself not that picky, there were many problems with the waterivew's staff that should be fixed--its seems that they are understaffed on the management level. If your a person who sweats the small stuff, go somewhere else...if your able to deal with little agravating things, do the waterview.

I just wanted to let Keith and Kelly know what a wonderful job they did at my daughter's wedding. To start off, the food was extraordinary. There was not one plate with food left in it. The cocktail hour, martini hour, everything was done with such precision. Keith was there the whole time watching and making sure the service was done corrrectly. We did pay for extras which made the event that more beautiful but The Waterview did pay attention to every detail. We are very happy to have had our event there. But for anyone having a wedding, extras are optional BUT it is worth every penny at the Waterview. Thanks again avoll

We had our daughter's wedding at the Waterview this summer, and it was just what we all had hoped for. The staff was wonderful, and the service was reliable, competent, and friendly, especially Keith, our coordinator. We used an outside kosher caterer for the food, so we cannot comment on the Waterview food, but they were wonderful at coordinating with our caterer to make things work for us. Our caterer, Chai Caterer, was also terrific...our guests loved the food. There was another wedding that started several hours after ours, and we never saw one person or heard one sound from the other wedding. When we left, we were helped to the car with all the extra flowers, the gifts, etc. We were totally satisfied with everything. The views, the light, the space...all just what we wanted. We are going back for another family wedding later this summer, and we cannot wait to be guests!
Beautiful PLACE
What more can you say about this place. From the great design outside, and the wonderful set up inside. I still can't get over on how beautiful this place is. That I know in the future I would love to have my 25th anniversay party here. To remember the great time we had in September3, 2005. The whole staff was very generous, and the food WAS TERRIFIC. Thanks again for such a wondeful time. See you in the future.
Carol
We were very pleased with the Waterview in every way. The staff & waiters were very attentive and professional. They aim to please. The food was the very best! All of our guests commented on how delicious their meals were. When the reception ended, Keith, the wedding coordinator was very accomodating in putting all gifts and packages in the car, a very nice service. They couldn't do enough at the Waterview to assure that the reception was all it could be. The Waterview is a most beautiful building inside and out. We were impressed that there was no indication that 2 wedding receptions were taking place at the same time. You felt as if it was all about you. We planned four weddings for our children over the past 7 years and by far, The Waterview is the very best. If you want a wedding that will be remembered for years to come, The Waterview is the place.
Kathleen
I want to begin by saying that we booked the Waterview in December 2003 when it was just an architectual drawing. We so hoped it would be everything Kelli Kristen described. Our event exceeded all our expectations. The facility and the view are magnificent. The food was great and served by very professional staff. Chris ran our event and was amazing!!! He communicated with us throughout the evening and was always just a few steps away. Our 200 guests continue to call us raving about our wedding. Our sincere thanks to Kelli, Keith and Chris. You really made our evening special!

As a Music Direction / Dance Instruction / Wedding Consulting Business, we work in many, many banquet facilities. I can honestly review the Waterview from our first experience there yesterday, as Truly Top Notch. Chris Wilkinson and Hildy, staff members, gave 100% PLUS to accommodating to our Bridal couple's needs. Their attention during the Ceremony Rehearsal the day before was EXCELLENT. During the outdoor ceremony, on the wedding day, the attention to detail was fantastic. I was truly impressed when Chris, standing next to me as the bride was entering during the processional, noticed that she was having trouble walking - feet catching on the front of her gown. He suggested that we have her stop once she was behind the bushes, obscured to her guests, and rearrange her gown - the train being carried by Hildy. We did and he even suggested to the Bride, a way of walking to help that situation! It was a moment of true professionalism and I was impressed. I had NEVER seen anyone on the banquet end even take an interest in such a detail before, let alone direct it! There was always a good amount of staff assigned to every detail. Nothing is ever perfect, but, from a vendor perspective, I would give the Waterview a Tremendously High Rating. And as a vendor, who must transport a great deal of audio equipment, The Waterview's set up and access made our job so much easier - a GREAT ASIDE - with elevator access for discreet entry and exit for DJs with equipment. (more electrical outlets on the wall where we were asked to set up would have been that much better. We had only a gang of 4 outlets available. Many current audio setups, such as ours, run power speakers, which require their own outlets as well as lap tops which should be set up on outlets separate from the audio equipment for no interference. It meant that we had to run long extension cords from the speaker to the outlet, which limited the placement of one of the power speakers. Another good aside is that The Waterview's electrical service for audio is run on separate circuitry to help avoid the interference that we have experienced at other locations.) Many things were different about the Waterview then we had ever experienced before. Their method of using upholstered separators to keep the cocktail area separate from the dining room was creative and new to us. As we had to do an equipment switch after the outdoor ceremony up to the dining room, it allowed for us to do our work discreetly and professionally without interrupting the conversation and comfort of guests. When it was time for the Grand Entrance, the Waterview staff was right there, providing hands that I am unaccustomed to having. The upholstered wall mysteriously disappeared, allowing me to invite guests into the dining room. And even then, staff, was "right there" on the ball, going from cocktail table to table to inform guests that they may now enter the room...something that I have never seen a facility do before. The entire atmosphere was overflowing with professionalism. I was VERY impressed. Apparently, couples are assigned a Bridal Staff. Hildy, who seemed very in charge for our couple, provided excellent service. Her persona, despite the many roles she fills and how busy she obviously is, was friendly, courteous and warm. She not only offered personal service to the Bride and Groom, she kept in constant touch with us - the Music Direction, Master of Ceremonies and Coordination Team. It was obvious that her goal was what was best FOR THE COUPLE- not for herself, as we so often see- CONTROL FREAKS - vendors / facility all fighting for the TOP DOG - DO IT MY WAY - POSITION. I could not compliment her enough. The Waterview has an excellent representative in her. Our wedding was different in many ways. My method of presenting the Wedding Party through personalized Introductions takes approximately 20 minutes, something that was unheard of to The Waterview, apparently. But I had informed them of my method previous so that the meal could be scheduled accordingly. Though I sensed some reluctance on their end, when it came time to make it happen, they did so with grace and cooperation. As often happens with Bride's make up and dressing preparations, time had slipped away from the female members of the Bridal Party. This changed the anticipated scheduling, setting the ceremony about 20 minutes late and rearranging photographs that were scheduled pre-ceremony to post ceremony. Though this creates challenges on the end of a banquet facility, it was handled well and with great decorum. Chris stayed in contact with me and provided plenty of warning that we needed to keep things moving and might have to abbreviate anticipated pre-dinner events. Because a tea ceremony was scheduled pre-dinner and because the introductions were uniquely authored to honor each individual member of the Bridal Party, this was not good news. But, working together and keeping in constant communication with each other, we were able to keep the flow going, meet and rise above the challenges, so that nothing appeared amiss to either the Newlyweds or their guests. Chirs was cooperative and compassionate in his demeanor, rather than demanding or controlling. This made him very easy to work with and respond to. One of the major strong points that The Waterview seemed to have was the attentiveness and cooperation of the full staff. Service to the guests was exemplary. The bartenders were professional, friendly and very skilled. Wait staff was friendly, prompt, courteous, as well as neat and clean (which is a small but very important detail). During the ceremony they provided at least 3 staff members to cover the details and positions that I usually must cover by myself. Though I did not consume any of the hors d'oeuvres, everything looked good and plentiful, with cheeses and an hors d'oeuvre bar set up in the center of the cocktail area. Wait staff roamed from table to table, offering a variety of foods to the guests from hors d'oeuvres. Guests seemed pleased with both quality and quality. The dinners were excellent, if not over abundant in portion. The filet mignon could be cut with a butter knife and the stuffed chicken was excellently prepared. From the vendor viewpoint, I do take exception to their advised seating of vendors for dinner. Our Bride had specifically requested that her vendors - there were 3 teams of 2 of us, totaling 6 - (Videographers - Still Photographers- and our Music Direction / Consultation Team) would be served first, after the Bride and Groom (I was there when the request was made, so that I am certain that it was made and recorded. FYI- Brides and Grooms - your vendors need to be moving around almost all of the time. When a facility serves them last, it either means that they must wolf down food or not eat or your events after dinner take longer to get started. When your vendors are served at the beginning, rather than the end, they can serve YOU better. Though, the concept of feeding vendors last is a sign of respect to your guests, it inhibits their ability to work for YOU. Please consider this in your planning.) When it was discovered that a table had not been set for us, we had to ask where we were expected to sit and were instructed to select any table in the cocktail area. Though the tables are small cocktail tables we decided to stay together rather than split up into 3 groups. After all guests had been served a pasta dish and salad, the Bride noticed that we were all sitting there, no water, no place settings...though we had already requested those things. The Bride had to instruct someone to provide service to her vendors before we received any attention. I will stress, though, that ATTENTION TO GUESTS and THE NEWLYWEDS was EXCELLENT. The Bride, having previously instructed that her vendors be served first, sho

We are planning our wedding at the waterview. We were just thier to meet with our coordinator Chris. He was great to work with and I was assured that every detail will be taken care of on my special day. We also talk with Kelli again briefly. She is just terrific. Best of al she hooked us up with Hildy, on of the staff members. She gave my parents and I another mini tour of our room. I hope she's my bridal attendent .

I have to say I heard all about the Waterview and how wonderful it was, and I was disappointed b/c I was let down. The place is gorgeous, but the food and service was not. I just wasn't worth the money. Guests left hungry and you could hear everything from the other wedding. For the money we spent we should have gotten perfection on our wedding day and we didn't. I just felt very disappointed.

The Waterview is excellent. I was so nervous but Tina ran the entire evening superbly. From the moment I walked in the door Hildy was there at my side to attend to any of my needs. The food was excellent and even passed the test of my very hard to please family. I would recommend this place to anyone. I have no complaints.
Fairytales do come true!
The Waterview is the hottest spot for your wedding! We had an amazing time! Everything was fantastic, from Kelli our amazing coordinator to Hildy our bridal attendant! The indoor ceremony was cozy and warm with candles lit all around the room. The cocktail hour was filled with butler passed horsdovors that could have filled the guests stomachs! The apps andmain meals were fantastic, probably turned some vegans onto filet mignon! Even the kids ate, they loved their special meal that the chef cooked up! Awhhh.. don't skip out on the crepe table, the line for ours was out the door- a huge HIT! And the wedding cake..... I, the bride even had seconds! YUMMMY Everything was set to the way that I dreamed of my perfect wedding day! The place was super clean, elegant, and all staff were pleasant! And guests are still talking about the cool way dinner was served, ask them about it! The Waterview catered to all my needs on my big day! I had lots of questions and concerns, and these girls/guys are professionals- they know what they are doing, relax and let them do it! That day I didn't worry about a thing! Kelli could be considered my better half! She was there for me throughout the entire planning process- right down to offering to go out and buy me more flowers when a local florist screwed up my flowers. You could not get more personal service anywhere- I dare you to try!

It was absolutely fabulous, wonderful, amazing, great, awesome...the list could go on and on. Tina was our consultant/coordinator and she was absolutely great!! I have to say I was concerned at first since I had never met her until the actual rehearsal. I had read several posts on here about her and was a bit nervous, but mom seemed to have a good relationship with her through it all so I was reassured. When I met her at the rehearsal, I felt like we were instant friends. She was great and very in control which was much appreciated. The actual wedding day could not have been more perfect. The weather was outstanding! The staff waited on me and my girls hand and foot while we got ready in the bridal room and they were super nice, especially Hildy. The food was awesome, people are still raving about it. There was so much of it and it was all SO good. They even offered my husband a 2nd filet mignon if he wanted it. I honestly do not even have one small slightly negative thing to say about anything. it was perfection

My coordinator was Tina. She was there from start to finish. She ensured everything went the way it should have. Throughout the reception, she was over to our table seeing how we were doing and to see if we needed anything. She even came over after finding out about the flowers that were not put on the cake and asked if I wanted her to put them on now. Everything at the ceremony & the reception was flawless. I can not point out one item that went wrong on our special day. Honestly, I sat down and tried to play everything back in my head and I can not think of anything.
Exquisite
I attended a wedding at The Waterview in October. Everything was absolutely EXQUISITE! The food at the cocktail hour was amazing. The sushi, fruit, and vegetables were fresh. The pasta station and Chinese station were a big hit. I have to admit, the best part of the cocktail hour was the martini bar. The main course was out of this world. I truly had one of the best meals of my life. The only thing that needed some improvement was the waitstaff. They needed to get into the routine of things and to brush up on their people skills. Other than that...."I had the time of my life".
