Located in the picturesque Weatogue area of Simsbury, Connecticut, The Riverview is a private event venue that captures the beauty of rural Connecticut while bringing glamour and elegance to your wedding day.

Built in 2008 to exacting standards, this attention to detail is evident in every aspect of The Riverview. From the lobby through to our Grand Ballroom, your guests will be dazzled by the building's crystal chandeliers, floor-to-ceiling windows, cathedral ceilings, and polished granite dance floor. Outside, guests can enjoy our waterfront setting under two completely private covered patios (ideal for wedding ceremonies), and wander the fully landscaped grounds and gazebo.

Exceptional

After looking at half a dozen wedding venues, we selected the Riverview based on reputation, appearance and pricing. We asked last minute if we could "drop in" for a tour, to which The Riverview was very accommodating. The venue was clean, modern and beautiful. My husband and I had actually attended one of the first weddings held by The Riverview about (3) years ago, and the service, food, ambiance and drink selection was superb. Seeing The Riverview in the same excellent condition as it had been in (3) years prior really helped to solidify our decision.

Our wedding coordinator, Alyson, was wonderful. She answered every single question promptly and professionally. She was friendly, easy to work with, and not at all intrusive during the wedding night (just the right amount of interaction to help keep the wedding going smoothly).

My family and coworkers have been raving about the food and the venue since our wedding (3) weeks ago. Guests stated that each meal was actually prepared exactly to how they ordered it, which is rare when accommodating a large banquet. The Riverview really is a beautiful space, and I would highly recommend it to couples planning an elegant, formal, yet budget-friendly wedding. (Also, my coworkers were so impressed that they are trying to have our company holiday party held at The Riverview).
