Dave was our DJ as well as provided our photo booth, up lighting and lounge furniture for our wedding on 5/2/15. From our first meeting he was extremely professional, and really went out of his way to make my husband and I feel comfortable. The quality that really set him apart from others we had met was the passion he had for his work. You can tell within a minute of talking with him that he genuinely enjoys what he does, and he is incredibly knowledgeable about it. He is constantly upgrading his equipment to make sure he has the newest technology for your wedding and continually adding new features or items to enhance your day. We gave Dave full control over the music at our reception and our guests had a phenomenal time. He really knew how to read our guests and get everyone involved. Our lounge furniture and up lighting looked amazing…it was perfect. Dave took my vision for the layout of the lounge furniture and designed an incredibly beautiful space that my guests were in awe over. The photo booth was the star of the night, and my guest loved how they were able to get a strip for each person as well as email the strip so they could instantly share on their social networks. Our day of coordinator also loved working with him and said he was very professional and flexible when any last minute changes arose. Dave really made our wedding an incredible event and we highly recommend him!!!

He was quick to respond to any questions we had and was very accommodating with meeting with us (we live outside of Boston) whenever we were in town. The online planning form was great and made everything that much easier. We did the "Custom Gobo (name on the dance floor)" lighting and he let us submit our own design. This was great for us because we custom created all of our invitations, paper goods, and decorations at the wedding; so everything felt seamless and cohesive. Many of my guests loved the music and complimented me on the DJ weeks after my wedding. Dave works hard but well, and he makes it seem effortless on his part. He studies the crowd to make sure he's playing the right kind of music; if he sees no one dancing to the music he's playing, he'll change it up until he sees everyone enjoying themselves. He also did an excellent job catering the music to my taste, while also catering to the taste of my guests (which tends to be different). Dave is a pleasure to work with, high energy, and a professional. I wish I had another event to hire him for!

Dave was great! He did our ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, uplighting & photobooth. At the final meeting he helped us plan every little detail, things we hadn’t even thought about! Super fast at responding to any questions & I loved the online planning form where you could easily find songs & make your own play list/do not play list. At our reception Dave even made sure to come find us for everything to make sure that we stayed on schedule. A lot of our wedding guests weren’t big dancers to begin with, but he still kept people on the dance floor all night. And the photobooth was a huge hit! What a champ this guy was. He enjoys his job an enormous amount and this reflects in his work. We got married on Sunday 10/12/14 and it truly was the most amazing day of our lives. Dave did an outstanding job at our August wedding and truly went above and beyond. Not only did he do everything we had discussed in our prior meetings, during the wedding he managed everything including the timeliness of the event. Our grand entrance was scheduled for 6 and he came to find us at 5:48. I forgot to mention to him we were planning to do a group shot with our photographer before the grand entrance, but he did not sweat it. He instantly ran to the mic and announced that we needed everyone outside for the photo and made the task so much easier. He also facilitated all of the guests through the buffet dinner with ease and liaised between us and the management on several occasions. Not to mention he kept our party jumping the entire time! In addition to all of this, the uplighting he did inside and outside the venue was absolutely stunning everyone remarked how much it added to the ambiance. Cars were even stopping outside of the venue to stare! Our wedding truly would not have been nearly as smooth or fun without Dave's involvement. Highly recommended for any type of event!

was so happy that we chose Dave to be our DJ. He has a user friendly website where you can create your song requests for the entire wedding. He was helpful in providing suggestions for songs and was willing to play requests on the spot during the wedding. We adding on the photo booth and it was a huge it! The pictures were great quality and all the props you could ever want were included. Best thing about it, you get a copy of all the photos after the wedding so you can see all the pictures that you "missed". Overall, Dave gets 5 stars from us. Dave, aka the Spin Doctor, was excellent! He is friendly, engaging, communicative, creative, and an awesome DJ! We used Dave not only as our DJ, but for uplighting the venue and for our photo booth. All aspects of Dave's service was top notch. He had awesome props for the photo booth (no additional cost), he provided us with all the photos taken in the booth on a USB drive at the end of the night (no additional cost), and a few days after the event, we received an amazing photo mosaic of us created from all those photo booth photos (at no additional cost). Dave played exactly all the songs we wanted him to and none of the songs we didn't want him to play. The dance floor was packed all night and he kept the vibe going without interruptions. Your DJ is one of the most important vendor selections you can make as you plan your wedding - they ultimately control the tone of the reception, and are the greatest determining factor on whether your guests go home happy. DJ Dave had my entire reception, from ages 3 all the way through 90, on the dance floor the entire night! Guests were in their glory, singing his praises at the end of the night saying this was the best wedding they had ever been to! His equipment is state of the art, he's incredibly organized, and he ensures that all the little moments of the reception (grand entrance, first dance, cake cutting) truly fit you as a couple. Do yourself a favor and work with him! Oh, last tip, definitely order uplighting in addition to his DJ services - it transforms your venue space and adds so much to the tone of the reception.

From the first time we met Dave he was very professional and you can tell how much he loves being a DJ. We also used a photo booth from him and whenever we would meet with him he would always have something new for us like designs for our photo strip printouts and the new monitor for the photo booth and you could tell how excited he was every time he introduced something new. Also, the mosaic from the photo booth looks great and is a nice touch! The wedding itself was incredible, Dave was a great entertainer and kept everyone on the dance floor the entire night and was very receptive to all the types of music that we like, including country! For our first dance we did the "dancing on a cloud" option which was great! He uses dry ice to really make it look like we were dancing on a cloud! We recently just got married on March 22,2014 and Dave was our DJ for the reception. He made the whole process easy and stress free which were two things that we were looking for with all of the other planning to do for the wedding. We actually did not think most of our guests would be dancing since the majority of them do not like to dance. But the choice of songs and sequence in which he played them had people dancing like you wouldn't believe. Not only did Dave provide our cocktail hour and reception with music but he also supplied us with lighting and a photo booth. The photo booth was the spotlight of the wedding. We truly believe that a DJ can make or break your wedding reception, and Spin Doctor DJ made ours great! Having a few years experience in the wedding industry, I knew my husband and I needed a DJ who knew his stuff. Dave played a big part in making our wedding reception unforgettable. During the planning process, working with Dave was great. He answered all emails quickly and was happy to answer all of my questions. The online organization forms his company uses helped with planning out the reception and music for the evening since I love to stay organized. I met with Dave a few days before to go over all the details about the wedding. He was fantastic making sure we were all set, especially insuring he had perfect pronunciation for the banes of those in our bridal party! The night of our reception, Dave was fantastic! He directed the whole evening and was great at making sure we knew what to do and what was happening next. Dave did a great job of choosing music that had everyone dancing earlier in the evening and switched over to more club-like music as the evening went on to suit the younger guests ( definitely request the use of "Dave's Mix".) Our requirements had been simple but vague - no explicit hip hop or rap and keep people dancing - and he did just that! Our friends still talk about how much fun they had! The dance floor was packed all night!!! Dave provided us with our music for both cocktail hour and reception, ballroom up lighting, cake up lighting, a floor monogram and "dancing on a cloud." Every detail was magnificent. Dave has top of the line system equipment and the latest and greatest in special effects. For our up lighting, we started the room of in a gorgeous teal ( one of my wedding colors) and then once the music picked up, the lights changed with the beat of the music. Our cakes looked beautiful thanks to the cake lighting Dave provided. Dave designed our floating floor monogram for us. He gave us a bunch of options to choose from so we could do it ourselves but I trusted his professional eye and I am so glad I did! The best part of the services provided by Spin Doctor DJ was by far the "dancing on a cloud" option. Our first dance was truly magical thanks to Dave. In conclusion, our wedding would have failed to impress as it did without Dave and Spin Doctor DJ. I would recommend him to everyone......150% recommended. Dave was great right from the start! He gave us all of our options and offered us a lot of really awesome deals - he offers a lot of pretty nifty extras if you're looking for that little extra special touch or surprise without being cheesy. We had a lot of quirky ideas mixed in with the traditional and he went with us and completely accommodated everything. His tool for creating your song request lists is definitely a big plus if you really want to be able to customize your playlist (which is EXACTLY what we wanted!). Dave kept everything running and managed to fit everything in even when our reception started a bit later than planned (our pictures ran a bit late! :-P) - and even when we handed him a 20 minute slideshow, he made it work! Not only that, he continuously came to find us and keep us informed of whatever was going on and check in to make sure he wasn't missing anything we really wanted (there was just one song that we'd really wanted to dance to but unfortunately couldn't get away from the table we talking with when it was playing to make it in time, but that's our fault for not telling him we particularly wanted to dance to that one!). Spin Doctor DJ Dave Parks helped make our day very special. We went in with no direction. We like to listen to hard rock and felt it wasn't appropriate for our wedding but we knew we wanted to dance! Dave was great! He handled everything from our music, up lighting, and photo booth to all our favors. He was by far the easiest and most fun vendor we worked with. I had no favors he found them, i had my florist go out of business 2 months before and he recommended new ones. He was also so easy to get a hold of and full of great ideas. Dave kept everyone up dancing ALL night even me who never dances and did not give anyone the mic ( with our group that was a huge piece of mind for me). We absolutely loved the Spin Doctor. Music and the dj really set the mood for a wedding reception and from ceremony to the last song he was great!! David Parks/ Spin Doctor is an amazing DJ. All of the guests at our June 9, 2012 Wedding Reception enjoyed a wonderful evening of dancing, thanks to him. Spin Doctor DJ made many helpful suggestions and offered a wide array of services but was never pushy about any of his ideas. In the end he does exactly what the bride and groom want and nothing more or less. He is very easy to work with!

I would tell anyone who can get Dave to be their DJ for thier wedding to absolutely go for it! We used Dave Parks from Spin Doctor DJ & Lighting for our wedding and he was phenomenal!! He was recommend by someone I work with who had recently gotten marred and used him for her wedding. The day of the wedding everything was setup timely and professionally. He even did the music for our ceremony at the church and still made it over to our venue in time to have everything ready to go for the cocktail hour and reception. The up lighting made the room!! It gave such a nice glow to everything and really tied the room together. I wasn’t sold on the up light initially but I am VERY happy we went with it. Additionally, he brought two large flat screen TV’s with him, and to add a personal touch, he displayed a picture of my husband and myself when the reception room was first opened to our guests. The video montage he put together for us was very sentimental; our families loved it. He played it on the two large flat screens so the whole room could see it. Dave was great! At our final meeting we ran through the entire wedding day to make sure everything was set. Dave gave great recommendations and insight when we needed it and was also very open to our ideas. The day of the wedding the entire evening ran perfectly. He informed us ahead of time when everything was going to happen; the introductions, the first dance, the cake cutting, garter and bouquet toss….etc. We were never confused about what was going on or where we should be; Dave made sure we were completely informed. Most importantly he played the right music at the right time and all of our guests had a blast! One of the first things you will notice about Dave is his passion and enthusiasm for what he does; which makes him the perfect DJ!

Spin Doctor did the most marvelous job I could have possibly imagined. My husband and I have a unique taste in music (from Otis Redding to the Ramones). We brought this to Spin Doctor hoping he would understand and leave out all the music we really don't care for. Not only did he do so--but laced the perfect pre-chosen playlist with just the right songs to get the party going and staying CRAZY. Everyone at the wedding exclaimed multiple times at how "perfect"--"fun" and "tasteful" the music was. He was even able to play a unique hard to find song for our first dance. Go with him---I feel certain to guarantee you will NOT be disappointed. Plus--his personality and business was nothing short of professional AND flexible. Bravo!

I never realized how much a DJ can make or break a wedding but Dave did everything in his power to make our wedding day special and unique. I am detail oriented person and using Dave's website to plan everything out was great. It helped us plan a timeline of how our reception would flow throughout the evening. The website also allowed us to pick out our "must play" and "do not play" song lists. In addition, we also selected a list of songs we liked and wished to be played if time would allow. This site allowed us to write notes next to the songs if we wished to have had them played at particular times (ie:cocktail hour, dinner, open dance floor, etc). If you did not have a clear vision of your ideal song wish list he also had the lists categorized by several different groupings; most popular songs of different decades, popular traditional wedding songs (father daughter, mother son, bride and groom first dance, and etc). I could continue to babble on how incredibly awesome this website was, but I will move on from this particular aspect of the wedding planning process. Dave is very organized and knows exactly what he's doing. Whenever I would email him he would quickly follow up with a response. Two weeks before our wedding day Dave contacted us to go through the entire reception from start to finish. My husband and I live in Rhode Island and were not able to meet with him in person so we set up a time to have a phone/facetime meeting. I was shocked on how many little things I forgot to do. He showed us pictures and examples of things we needed to decide on such as different lighting options. On our wedding day my husband and I walked into the reception space and were blown away by how beautiful it was and how all of Dave's little lighting touches transformed the room. Our wedding was during the day so I did not think lights would add anything to our space but I was wrong. Our wedding colors were purple, ivory and silver and he had the back wall lit in violet, our cake was also illuminated... Dave even wore a violet button down shirt to match our decor. To add a personal touch he had two large flat screens that displayed a picture of my husband and I from our engagement shoot. Throughout the entire reception Dave played all the songs we requested, and if he planned to play a different song he asked ahead first. Nothing came as a surprise. All of our guests raved about the music and great variety of songs played. My husband and I also chose to have a photo montage played during dinner. We picked out the songs played during that time and the order we wished our pictures to be shown and he made sure all of our pictures were shown within the exact duration of those two songs. He also created an interesting shoe game that my husband and I participated in during dinner. We stood back to back from one another. We each held one shoe in each hand; one with my shoe the other hand held his shoe. He would ask us questions like; who spends more time in the bathroom, or who was the better driver and we would answer these questions by raising the shoe of the person we personally thought fit as they answered those questions. This game was humorous and was something I've never seen at any other wedding. Our guests loved it! In my opinion our wedding day was perfect. Thank you Dave for being a part of it!

Dave was absolutely exceptional to work with. He basically felt like our wedding planner. He knew ALL of our vendors and their contact info just in case they weren't at the reception site yet and he could call them and make sure they were coming or help them with directions, etc. Thankfully all of our vendors showed up but it was the BEST feeling to know that he had all of their contact info and was there for us even though he didn't have to do that at all!! He also gave us a detailed website that was optional to fill out but EXTREMELY helpful!!! I CANNOT recommend this DJ and all of his tools enough!! The website really helped us think of things we would have otherwise maybe forgotten about, it prompted us through our wedding planning. Dave was EXTREMELY quick with any emails or phone calls. He was always available to take phone calls at all hours and days of the week! When emailing him I ALWAYS got a response right back, he was my quickest vendor to respond by FAR!! The special effects for the wedding that he offers are out of this world. We chose dancing on a cloud for our first dance and the way he does it is truly like no other!! I have never seen it done this well before and ALL of my guests were literally in awe - still talking about it!! Our pictures of it are breathtaking!! The uplighting we used was exactly SPOT ON to our wedding colors which were VERY hard to match (we had a very specific orange and yellow). He had every single color and different shades of colors, etc. Our wedding could NOT have been more smooth, he ran the entire show behind the scenes and of course being the DJ as well. He was calming and relaxed which kept us the same way. Obviously we CANNOT say enough about him, he was nothing short of AMAZING!! His package deal is also the ABSOLUTE BEST price, he beats others but hundreds to thousands and honestly, he offered a LOT more too!! Definitely use him, we cannot recommend him to enough people!!!...

Dave Parks of Spin Doctor DJ & Lighting was absolutely amazing! Our uplighting and lounge area was to die for! The music kept our guests dancing all night long! Every time I turned around there were only 5 or 6 people sitting at their table at any given time. His timing was excellent. The sound system was superb. He had everything under control at all times. I felt that our wedding went more smoothly thanks to his attention to detail. He honestly seemed to have everything more organized and under control than our venue when it came to the bridal party and set up. He never spoke too much and he kept everyone happy including the older guests. He is very prepared and I would highly recommend him to any bride. His pricing is perfect and he has a great personality. Our final meeting went smoothly and was very informative. He always answered any of my questions in a timely manner and we always felt that our business was a top priority. I look forward to seeing him at my maid of honors wedding in 2012! Dave did a great job with our wedding. Early on he sat with us to discuss the package and the different options. He had plenty to choose from and we picked what we wanted and negotiated the price. Dave was great through this process and we never felt pushed or hassled. Over time we used his online tools to create our wedding timeline and music. The system was easy to use and one of the better online databases available. We had a 2nd meeting to finalize everything and go over our music selections. Dave did a good job to explain how the wedding day will go and from his experience how we'll need to lay things out. On the day of the wedding he arrived early to setup and met with the other players such as the photographers and venue planner. They all worked well together the whole night to keep things running smoothly. The music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception went off without a hitch. The uplights were perfect and the lighted cocktail tables were a nice touch that several people enjoyed. A+

Dave was amazing! He did a super job and took control of everything. He played all of the music we wanted and he really helped the party transition from dinner music to awesome party mode! When the time came to end the night our guests wanted to keep on going and Dave was all for it! (Unfortunately, the venue didn't let us :() I highly recommend Dave and Spin Doctor DJ & Lighting. Dave was great to work with. He was very outgoing and you can tell he loves what he does. He has the most unique ideas and is helpful in every aspect. When we were stumped on picking out songs he had an ipad with an application that had songs that we could chose from! I doubt you would find anyone else who would have that!! Dave from Spin Doctor DJ and Lighting did a awesome job at our July Wedding. He played every song that we wanted and keep the mood of the night exciting!! Everyone gave us compliments on what a great time they had at our wedding and Dave helped us with that.

We used Spin Doctor DJ David Parks at out wedding and it was the most fun we have EVER had!! We had people trying to join us from the 2 other weddings in the venue, everything went perfectly and there was never a dull moment on the dance floor!! Our guests and the venue have yet to stop taking about it!! I would use him again and recommend him for any occasion in a heartbeat!! It could not have been done any better!!! We also had him do full room, cake and centerpiece uplighting as well as his dancing on a cloud feature. Every last detail of out wedding was perfect!! Dave just dj'ed our wedding on November 5. He \did a great job from start to finish. He made the planning process so easy. DJ Dave recently dj'd our wedding on 10/30 and he was amazing!!! He does everything exactly as you want it, the music, lighting, mc'ing...all of it! He is extremely accessible and returns all of your emails/phonecalls immediatley. Our wedding was at a mansion and so the setup was much more complex than an average banquet hall but he made it work. Our party was so much fun we had to extend him for another 2 hours because the crowd would not get off the dance floor! During our final meeting he sat with us for hours and reviewed everything step by step and the day of everything was so well organized and went so smoothly. DJ Dave is an amazing DJ and really knows how to accomodate not only his client but also the venue and crowd he is working with.

Everything was awesome!! Everyone loved the music, the uplighting and the custom monogram on the dancefloor. Our guests were on the dancefloor all night and everyone had a blast. Dave listened to all of my requests and helped me out with music suggestions when I wasn't sure what to do. He came highly recommended from a friend so my maid maid of honor and I both booked him right away on the first appointment. Ask for the shoe game!!!!!

Dave was great. He is reasonably priced, and has extra options if you want to add anything onto your package. He was on time and all set up in the chapel and reception room in time for our AM start. The sound was great (he uses BOSE systems), and we were able to order extra things such as hats, glow stickes, etc. for the reception. He played most of the songs we had requested on our playlist, and even found questions for a game we wanted to do. Thanks Dave!

We had our ceremony and reception at the same venue and Dave was able to provide both the nice instrumental processional music for the ceremony and the party music for the reception. My wife and I were very impressed with the way that he was able to bring together our musical style with some more of the traditional wedding reception music. Dave was very easygoing and helpful in the planning process and also kept us in the loop during the reception. We are still getting compliments from our friends and family about how much fun our reception was, which was in a big part thanks to Dave.
