I got married at the waterview in September, and from the minute I booked with them the previous June, I heard an array of comments from people who have been to events there both positive and negative…Here are my brief comments on the waterview.
The place…the grounds, the building, the room…beautiful. It make a great impression on guests….everything is clean, and on the surface a beautiful, well layed out facility. The food is good.
The staff–the worst part of the place. I felt thorugh the whole process that they told you yes, to appease you and then when the day came, everything changed. For instance, I asked(a was told) several times that we could use the entire grounds for pictures…wedding day comes…sorry you can’t…We were told that we would have staff following us around all night to “help”….this staff was in place the first 45 minutes…then disappeared. I had the coordinator bringing problems to my attention during my reception, when they were the ones that should be handling it…(i could go on…..)
Overall, the wateriew is beautiful and I had a graet wedding…for someone who considers herself not that picky, there were many problems with the waterivew’s staff that should be fixed–its seems that they are understaffed on the management level.
If your a person who sweats the small stuff, go somewhere else…if your able to deal with little agravating things, do the waterview.
