W elcome to Pine Valley Banquet House. We are located on the beautiful 150 acre Pine Valley Golf Course in rural Southington Connecticut. We are conveniently located off I-84 exit 31, approximately 20 miles from downtown Hartford, Meriden and Waterbury.

Our private ballroom overlooks the first hole of the golf course and has a breathtaking view of the greens and natural valley of pine trees. This is truly a room with a view. SHE RUINED MY WEDDING DAY

It breaks my heart that these are the memories we have of that day. It breaks my heart that our wedding isn’t remembered in the way that it should be- that the only way our friends and family remember this day is by how rude and nasty Ms. Rawls-Crosby was. Until the day of the wedding, Ms. Rawls-Crosby was perfectly nice to work with. Yes, she didn’t always return our emails and yes, she booked an event on the day of our tasting- and never told us until I called her when we were 5 minutes away after driving 40 minutes to get there for our scheduled appointment. We chalked those incidents up to mere mistakes, and trusted that, in the end our wedding was going to be all she had promised. It was not. What upset my new husband and me the most is the way that Ms. Rawls-Crosby treated his 80 year old grandfather. He’s legally blind and doesn’t have very good equilibrium, and as he walked to the men’s room, he accidentally lost his balance and bumped into Ms. Rawls-Crosby. A number of our guests witnessed and heard her rudely bark at him, “Who do you think you are?” She didn’t apologize or help him- Ken’s mother was nearby and ran over to assist him. She observed Ms. Rawls-Crosby roll her eyes as she walked away. We expected a banquet manager who would manage the most important event of our lives in a professional manner. What we got was a nasty and rude woman who insulted our guests, and who performed in an unprofessional and incompetent manner. Among other things, we were provided only four servers for 135 guests. It took the staff more than two hours to serve everyone. We were told by some of our family that one of the servers handed her a bowl of pasta and said, “here, pass it around”, and then walked away. Further, 75% of our guests didn't have cake because it was served and taken away so fast no one knew- we didn't get to eat cake at our own wedding. Our experience with Pine Valley was awful. Our guests were unhappy, we were unhappy, and, frankly, Pine Valley ruined our otherwise perfect wedding day. Several of our guests are newly engaged and are looking for reception halls. They will not be using Pine Valley. In fact, one couple was intending to book their wedding reception at Pine Valley – that is, until they saw how poorly we and our guests were treated.
