In CT there are NO residency requirements; You can be married in one day. It actually takes about 90 minutes for the ENTIRE process when you get here. I am happy to advise you on ways to come to CT and walk you through the process. I am extremely gay friendly as my testimonials will make clear to you.

I have performed over 150 ceremonies in the last year. This year, clearly I will exceed that.....for example this May 2009 I performed 40 ceremonies.

(For perspective, the average JP that does ceremonies...tends to do 5 a year.) I have officated at over 100 civil unions (when they became legal in CT).

If you are in NYC, I am happy to pick you up at the Darien/Norwalk/or Stamford train station and take you to one of the local town halls to pick up your license (Norwalk is our first choice but when they are very busy, they request couples to come and pick up the license the next day. If that is the case, we can go to Darien or Westport for the license and legal ceremony) before having your marriage celebration. Then back to the train station to head back to NYC.

PLANNING info: When I receive your deposit, I will send planning informationwith ceremony ideas, ceremony options, sample vows, budget tips, mini planner, sample vows, ceremony options, (rings, roses, unity candle),budget tips and sample toasts for the reception- also has a presentation about unique wedding locations in CT and a NAME CHANGE kit.

FREE PORTFOLIO: I prepare and give as a gift to my couples a customized laser cut portfolio with their personalized vows and certificate printed in a lovely font on elegant blue parchment paper. It has your personalized certificate and your custom vows used at your ceremony.

FREE DVD WITH YOUR CEREMONY SNAPSHOTS: I take digital snapshot photos that I will send you on a photo disk with the electronic files of your vows, certificate and readings.

There are no extra charges for special ceremonies. (Unity candles, rose ceremonies, Sand Ceremonies and more - assumes you bring the setup).

If you desire I wear a robe (black or white) with a satin stole, a suit or whatever is appropriate and arrive early to talk to the other professionals (photographer, dj).

I want to make your day as special as I possibly can and will happily answer questions you have, including procedures, suggestions to save money, how to get your license, etc.

I perform a lot of multi-denomination ceremonies, ceremonies on short notice, ceremonies during the week (I am available 24/7).
