| Alteration Boo Boo |
| The week of my wedding, I went to pick up my gown after final alterations were made and the whole top of an Illusion long sleeve gown with a drop waist was shifted to the left, apparently the seamstress didnt take into account the human body has one breast larger than the other; in a rush job to fix this the whole V formation of the drop waist was ruined and the $1200.00 gown now appeared to be maternity wear. As if this were not the worst nightmare of my wedding I had just lost my mother; all the owner could say was "these things do happen"...nothing was offered in restitution of this blunder, not even the offer of the sample in its place. I found them owner to be totally unprofessional, lacking any compassion, as the only thing my mother saw of my wedding plans was my gown and now it was ruined...Yet all they worried about was that they were paid. Decide for yourself if this is the quality of people you wish to do business with. Ironically my mothers gown wasnt in, but the shop she ordered it from supplied me with the sample right off the floor for her to be buried in and gave me my wedding shoes as a gift, she couldnt do enough for me...Im sooo glad I had her do my wedding party. Harold's didnt deserve the business. |
