Another Point of View

I have been a dressmaker with Barbara Lee's for 27years. I don't know where this customer came from !!!. Barbara Lee's has a very strict policy about handeling any merchandise. FIRST & Formost the building that Barbara Lee's occupied from April 1997 thru April 2005 was an OLD Historic Home on Stepney Green, on Rt. 25 in Monroe. There were many internal & structural problems that were not repaired by the Landlord, by his unwillingness, or the fact that this is Just THE WAY IT IS, in a Historic Building. There were residential tenents on the second floor, who were consistantly causing inconvenience to the first floor, either by the way they let their pets behave, or just their behavior or lack of. !! While every effort wasw made to create a clean, pleasant, and odar free enviorment, a Damp Dirt Floor Basement creates displeasing odors that even the most impecable housekeeper cannot over come. with reguard to the condition of customer, or any garment for that matter, we were never allowed to have food, drink, not even water, any where near the selling floor, or work area's. It is very hard to believe that any garment left the store, with makeup, or pen marks of any kind, as the garments were STEAM PRESSED & INSPECTED IN FRONT OF THE CUSTOMER BEFORE THEY LEFT THE STORE. Every garment was tried on, and APPROVED for both FIT & Appearence by both BARBARA, MYSELF & THE CUSTOMER WITH ONE OF HER FAMILY OR FRIENDS, BEFORE THE DRESS LEFT THE STORE. IF Anything was questioned, it was taken care of INFRONT OF HER BEFORE IT LEFT THE STORE. After a garment leaves ANY store it is out of our controll. How many times have you found deoderant or makeup on a garment after you put it on, just before You leave the House for a BIG event ? In June of 2005 the store moved to ELM STREET in MONROE. A 27 YR. reputation in Business should speak for itself NOT 1 Customer.
