Fresh and contemporary, and elegantly understated, The Candlewood Inn event venue resides on a private three acre parcel located directly on Candlewood Lake in Brookfield, CT. With 500 feet of uncluttered waterfront, your guests can sip cocktails on the terrace and then enjoy dinner in the dining room with spectacular lake views. When the stars come out, twinkling chandeliers and many original fixtures create an ambiance which is warm and festive.

The Candlewood Inn rests on perhaps the most scenic spot on the lake, at both its widest point (over two miles) and with a western exposure, giving it front row seats to the lake's glorious sunsets. Crisply styled for hosting elegant gatherings, the classic main dining room seats up to 300 and offers lake views through 8-foot-high picture windows. What attracts many people to the inn is the juxtaposition of the inn's formal interior with the casual lake setting. Lakefront terraces are used for hors d'oeuvres and cocktails, and wedding ceremonies can take place on the expansive lawn along 500 feet of shoreline or under an archway set up dockside with nothing but lake and hills in the background.

The Inn belongs to the Elegant Banquets family of facilities that have been proudly hosting elegant events since 1986. Our three other Connecticut venues include The Riverview, which opened in 2008, The Waterview, which opened in 2003, and The Fox Hill Inn, which opened in 1986.

The Perfect Place for a Wedding

The Candlewood Inn, its staff, its location, and its ambiance made our wedding day perfect! They make you feel like the most important person in the world and take excellent care of all guests. On our first visit we were taken aback by the gorgeous scenery, but what impessed us most was their dedication to getting all the details of our wedding just the way we wanted them. When we dropped off all our decor items, we knew Christian would take care of everything. Knowing our wedding was in good hands was the only reason I got any sleep the night before! The staff was helpful and courteous, almost psychicly aware of our every need! Our guests raved about the food, the service... everything! It was truly a night to remember.
