Poor customer service

A friend of the family referred us to Carriage because he deals with them regularly and had a contact there. The man I initially spoke with was helpful and offered us a discount because of the referral. I discussed the particulars with my fiance and we decided to rent a 20 person party bus. The man I had spoken with told us that we could call back and speak with anyone in the office to schedule, just tell them that he gave us a quote of X amount. However, when my fiance called to firm up the details, the woman who answered was very brusque and told him that the party bus we wanted wasn't available and that they only had larger ones. He then called me to tell me what had happened and I asked him to call back and ask about other options. This time the woman was extremely rude and said, "Didn't you just call five minutes ago? I said it wasn't available!" and hung up on him! He did nothing whatsoever to provoke her. He was simply trying to get some information. She barely let him get a word in edgewise the second time! Discount or not, we decided we were not giving our business to a company with such bad customer service. As it turned out, the company we ultimately scheduled with quoted us a price that wasn't much more expensive than the discounted rate we were offered at Carriage. I'm very glad we took our business elsewhere!
