James and Britta’s wedding is easily one of our favorites of this year. The classic colors and elegant details of the big day really add to the romantic feeling of the day. Britta’s began the big day getting ready with her closest family and friends. The gorgeous bride wore an incredible strapless sweetheart gown with lace detailing. Her long blond locks were pulled away from her face making her beaming smile visible throughout the day. James looked dashing on their wedding day. His black suit with a classic pocket square and white boutonniere was perfect with Britt’s stunning gown, and the couple’s styling did not attempt to compete with the gorgeous and grand Hartford City Hall where the couple had their first look. James and Britta’s happiness was far more grand than the venue and made the images some for the Wedding Reports record books!
The understated ceremony took place at the incredible Society Room of Hartford. Whenever we see a wedding from this venue, we are always blown away at the elegance and romance that a single space can have. James & Britta truly chose well, and their vow exchange was beautiful inside the Society Room. After their I do’s, the pair moved over to the incredible reception area where they had their incredible, modern celebration. The elegant space is full of incredible details— like the original bank safe from this restored federal reserve building—that paired perfectly with James and Britta’s already romantic day. With music provided by Doug O’Rourke, the pair had their first dance before cutting their gorgeous cake.
