We highly recommend Keith Lobdell of “Just A Song DJ” out of Easton, CT. Throughout our wedding planning Keith was polite and professional. He was flexible in conducting phone conference calls at times that met our schedule needs. He took the time to meet for an in-person venue site visit, to review equipment needs and sound quality. His online music database was easy to use, and it helped us to organize our song preference list, and sequence of events for the evening. Keith confirmed the precise song versions we wanted prior to our event, as well as the correct pronunciation of our wedding party names. On the day of our wedding he was set up and ready to go by the time guests arrived, and he honored our various music preferences. He spent minimal time on the mic, and allowed the evening to naturally unfold. Keith read our guests, and played songs seamlessly to get everyone having a great time. We received so many compliments that the music and dancing was the absolute best! When the final song of the evening concluded, our guests started singing acapella style to ask for one more song. Keith found that particular song in his music database and played it, really bringing down the house and making our wedding reception one we will always remember and cherish!

We highly recommend " DJ " Keith Lobdell of Just One Song Entertainment for any wedding or special occasion! My husband and I got married outside in my parent’s back yard, under a tent, in Old Saybrook, Connecticut in June of 2016. Between the music, dancing, and classy MCing, DJ Keith made the ambiance of the night perfect. His easy to use online system allows users to pick out just about any song you can think of, and add it to the playlist. The user friendly system also allows you to categorized songs by “must play” or “play if you can”, which provides flexibility and allows him to play whatever fits the mood. The system also automatically tells you how many total hours of music the playlist will fill. If its not in his system, no problem – DJ Keith was able to find and include all of our requests. As my husband is Colombian, half of the invitees were Latinos –with a love for salsa and tropical music. We thought it may be challenging to find a DJ that was able to juggle Spanish and English music, but DJ Keith stepped to the challenge and surpassed our expectations. We asked him to start with English and progressively work toward Spanish; and we asked him to start with oldies, and progressively work toward modern music. He did this gracefully and made the party rock until late night. We were also impressed by Keith’s lighting equipment. He offered including up-lights and a laser show for the party. Though both looked cool, we decided to go with only the up-lighting which looked beautiful as the lights changed color to the beat of the music and bounced off the tent walls. Again, if you are considering DJ Keith, don’t hesitate! He is a one-of-a-kind DJ!

Keith was fantastic to work with from start to finish. We are music lovers, and we had a very specific idea of what music we wanted played. Keith worked with us to get all the songs we wanted and to figure out all the timings as well. He also gave us some great song suggestions to fill in parts of the playlist that we hadn't really fleshed out enough. I think the added songs he suggested ended up being some of the favorites for the night. Everyone danced all night! The planning forms that he has on his website are really helpful. We had a DIY wedding, so filling out his forms really helped us organize the timeline of the night. He was also kind enough to throw in a speaker and wireless microphone for our ceremony. Keith is a real music lover, and it was a pleasure to get together with him and kick around ideas. In the end, he really just wants to make his clients happy. He seems very flexible, so I would recommend him for any type of wedding!

From the early discussions and planning to final preparations and the actual day itself, everything went as well as it could have. We had a lot of positive feedback from our friends and family who told us that the music was great and that they hadn't had that much fun dancing at a wedding in a long time.

We had a really great time with Keith being the DJ at our wedding. We weren't too specific in terms of what we wanted him to play, but what he chose was great - a good mix of music from the 30s jazz to present, which was great considering the different ages represented at our wedding. My wife and I are not big dancers, so instead we had badminton, bocce, croquet, and wiffle ball as our main reception activities, but Keith's music really complemented this. I guess I'll always be biased in terms of thinking everything at our wedding was perfect, but Keith definitely contributed to a great atmosphere. He found or had the few specific songs we wanted for dances with our parents, and he has a microphone for people to use for speeches/toasts. We didn't do any organized dances, and we weren't introduced at the reception, so Keith didn't do a lot of talking on the microphone, but that was actually very suitable for the type of reception we had. That said, he's really accommodating and I'm sure he'd be willing to do things like that if that's what you want. We chatted with him a bit beforehand about the setting of the reception, and he was very keen on playing music that fit the mood. He used to be a radio DJ, and he really seems to have a broad knowledge of a lot of different eras and genres of music. Again, I, like everyone, am biased in thinking it was the perfect day, but Keith's music definitely played a big part, and a lot of our guests agreed.

Keith played exactly what we wanted, no matter how unique it was, and everyone was up and dancing all night! He helped to make it a magical day. All of our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to, and it was largely in part to Keith.

We have attended an event at our friends called "Dance on the Patio" the music provided by Just A Song Entertainment. We have really enjoyed this event every year. The music makes the party and Keith does a wonderful job. I am sure anyone that uses his company will be thrilled. He takes requests and once he gets a feel for the group fills in with what works. You will not be disappointed.

Keith Lobdell is a superb DJ - very thoughtful about working with requests and he does an excellent show.I would highly recommend him for any occasion. I attended a party so did not have to pay for the service, but it would be well worth it.

Keith Lobdell was cool.... he played just the right mix for our party ... including some updated oldies.. and was sensitive to the party timing. His light show added a very special feature to the beautiful outdoor setting. Sound level while dancing was great!!!
